I’m Maeve, the artist behind Winter Creature. I started this journey in 2019, and my practice is all about merging the rich, tactile feel of traditional paints—like acrylic and gouache—with the endless flexibility of digital illustration.

I have always been inspired by organic textures, curious birds, and the beautifully strange things in life. I love letting the world around me actively guide my process —A gentle curiosity that allows the surfaces of bark, leaves and foliage to dictate the flow of shapes and colours within my work.
