Hi, I’m Maeve!
I’m an artist based in Ontario. I make art about curious birds, organic textures, and the beautifully strange parts of the natural world. My work is rooted in the messy, tactile feel of traditional paints. I love letting the drag of gouache and grain of wood guide the direction of a piece. Where relevant, weaving together physical warmth with digital tools to finish the story.
When I’m not creating as Winter Creature, I work as a Producer and Operations Manager at Blue Rose Studios. I love bridging the gap between the deeply creative and the highly organized, bringing the same care to large-scale studio productions as I do to my own sketchbook.
